The following causes can make JSON validation fail
Error causes that make it hard to find the truth:
1, keys and values of non-number types in the Json string are not wrapped in double quotes
2. JSON can contain tab characters such as \t that look like spaces, but their presence makes validation fail; just remove them.
3. A Bom header in the editor can also cause Json validation to fail

Almost always unquoted keys, single quotes, a trailing comma or an inline comment. The JSON standard allows none of those.
Parsing runs synchronously in the browser, so a few megabytes are fine. For larger files use the compact view or a local tool.
